What Level It Down is and isn’t

Level It Down is an educational planning tool. It performs arithmetic on numbers you provide and explains the results. It does not provide financial advice, credit counselling, insolvency advice, legal advice, or tax advice. Using it does not create an advisor relationship. Your financial decisions remain your own. For personal guidance, consult a reputable credit counsellor, a Licensed Insolvency Trustee, or a licensed financial professional.

Estimates, not promises

Plans, payoff dates, interest totals, and credit-health projections are educational estimates. They depend on the information you enter and the simplifications on the Methodology page. Lender calculations, fees, rate changes, and what happens over time may produce different results. We don’t guarantee a payoff date, interest total, or credit-score change.

Your responsibilities

Enter information you believe is accurate and keep it current. The plan depends on those inputs. Keep your account credentials secure. Use the service only for your household’s planning and never to violate a law.

Accounts

You may close your account at any time in Settings, which permanently deletes your data. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service (for example, automated scraping or attempts to access other users' data).

Availability and changes

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Features may change. We will post material changes to these terms on this page.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Level It Down and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including financial decisions made based on its estimates. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable Canadian consumer-protection law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
